I'm Thanuja Bandara. My passion is to support all the parents who are doing hard work to make their kids' lives better. Children are one of life's greatest gifts - but raising caring, happy children in this modern world can be a challenge to any parent. So, I'm here to help you to understand your child, and his or her development, and to share all the things we need to know from their birth. Parenting is not a practice. It's a daily learning experience.
My Story
I did my National Diploma of Teaching in Sri Lanka and started my career as an English teacher in 2007. When I migrated to Australia in 2014, I started a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and started working as an Educator in Australia. I'm currently studying for my Bachelor of Educational Studies. Most importantly, I'm a mother of two beautiful children. All these experiences help me to grow and gain knowledge about children, their development and the things we can do as parents to bloom their lives.
Children pass through "sensitive periods" in which they are primed to learn, and some of these opportunities don't come twice. Given the right stimulation at the right time, children are able to learn almost unconsciously. By the time I was learning some of these things, I was too late as my children have grown out of that period. So, I thought of sharing my knowledge with all the parents who wish to give their children the best before they are too late like myself.
Along the way, I learned that the best thing we can invest in our kids is our time. And also, there's no such thing as a perfect parent. Being a parent means loving your children more than you've loved yourself. Come and join me to discover the amazing story of your child...
